Face Makeup Tips

My first YouTube video! Yes, there’s lots of room for improvement. Encouragement and suggestions most welcome! Enjoy.

Tips to Get This Look:

1. Cover upper eyelid with flesh coloured matte eyeshadow (powder)

2. Line top waterline and lashline halfway up to the crease. I used black pencil eyeliner for the outer rim and smudgeproof liner for the waterline.

3. Line lower waterline and lashline all the way to meet the top lines.

4. Dab midnight blue shimmer eyeshadow above the eyeliner, from outer to inner egdes, blending downwards and stopping halfway down the black line. Smudge slightly upwards to soften the line -just a little! I used a sponge applicator.

5. Apply same midnight blue eyeshadow along the lower lashline with a small angled brush.

6. Clean up any excess colour using a cotton tip dampened with makeup remover or eye cream.

7. Highlight the browbone with the same flesh coloured matte eyeshadow you used at the start. Use a soft round brush, sweeping just over but not into the blue line.

8. Apply liquid makeup foundation below the eyeshadow line, blending towards the cheeks and temples to give a clean look, using a foundation brush. This also helps prevent the makeup from smudging too much.

9. Press powder over the liquid foundation with a powder puff for precision around the eye makeup.

10. Finish with 2-3 coats mascara, pink blusher and lipstick close to your natural lip color.
